TIME FOR THE CREDITS.

Now that I have my website up on line, and running for the first time, I would like to mention
a few people who have helped me along the way.
As those experts among'st you may have guessed this has been my first project, and I must admit
to being quite pleased with the first draft, but as a novice webmaster there is a lot more to do and it will
be an on going hobbie, to improve and update the many pages with my new found skills and knowledge.
The project started before christmas 2000 with a chance conversation with a bowling colleague who
suggested the idea of setting up my own web site.
The new year started with Les loading my PC with an editor progam and spending an afternoon
showing me the basic's of HTML, he left me with some good books, and off I went into the unknown
world of TAGS, and HTML.
It was slow going at first but it gets easier with practice. Les came around when I got stuck and
he was very patient, Without his help and encouragement it would have been much harder.
Thanks again Les, the credit at least is yours, if not the car.

THE TECHNICAL BIT.

Some of you might like to know the mechanics of the site, so here goes.
1. The editor program was DiDaPro 32, quite simple no frills, nice and straight
forward for a beginer, between us we got the job done ok.
2. Packard Bell Pulsar 19, 200mhz Computer.
3. H.P. Deskjet 600 Printer
4. Boedor scanner.

PHOTOGRAPHYS AND BIOGRAPHYS.

It was a bit difficult trying to find out about our top pro bowlers,I didn't want a lot of in depth details
just the basic stuff that we all like to know when we talk amongs't ourselves as conversation fillers.
After scratching my head for ideas I thought I would write to Potters Leisure Resort and ask for
their help. This I did and I was happily surprised by the very quick response that came from Ron Peasgood,
who is the bowls manager at Potters Leisure. He phoned me within days of my letter and he couldn't have
been more helpful. He was very soon able to fulfil my requirements, which he dispatched to me that day.
The information I received gave me all I wanted, nice photo's and brief biographys of each bowler
at this years Championship 2000.

Potters Leisure Resort, will be hosting the championships for the next two years,
And I shall make every effort to get there for next years championship.
Should you fancy a bowling holiday break at Potters here are their details.

ADDITIONAL THANKS

I am indebted to the Scottish Indoor bowling Association's year book, which has been a valuable
source of information, and a means of double checking my facts and figures.
I have gleaned information from so many people and sources, that I am unable to name them all
individually but If you remember talking to me and sharing anything with me,
or contributed, anything in any way, please accept my thanks and appreciation.
I would like to point out that although this website was designed and built by me and is my copyright,
some of the information contained within it is not always mine, and I have tried where possible to offer my
thanks and to give credit where credit is due, and appologise if I offend anyone or any organisation

Peter
