WELCOME TO THE WEATHER PAGE

Although I myself only bowl indoors,I do understand that many people enjoy the outdoor life,
and prefer to experience the full force of the scottish weather, which here on the east coast can get
quite blustery, if not very windy. With a little dedication you do get used to it, and I am told by my
friends who do bowl "outside" that the greens do get quite fast as the summer moves on, and the bowls
do take a nice bit of grass to get onto the jack. It is therefore important for those folk to have some
idea just what the weather is going to be like, so even though this site is for indoor bowlers I have included
a link to another site that is operated by a bowling friend of mine who can give you the weather picture
across the country, along with many other fascinating facts and figures should your needs dictate.

Check out for Weather forecast and Information.

INDOOR CONDITIONS

Having spent a great deal of my working life out in the elements I have now come to enjoy the warmth
and comfort of doing things in a more body friendly enviroment, you know the sort of things, somewhere
dry to sit, and to enjoy a cup of tea in comfort, not having to wear waterproof clothing to bowl in, and I
can do it in my shirt sleeves all year round. Even my bowls seem to like being clean and shinny, without
scratches and chips, I know they don't perform any differently but together we look good as we stand on
the mat, vacumed and swept no wind blown objects or worm casts, ruts or mud patches to interfere with
the bowl, off we go nice smooth delivery, follow through, ok, whoop's! wrong bias. I must sound as if I
am biased towards the indoor game, perhaps I am, but good luck to every bowler who enjoys our sport
in whatever format or location, I just wish mine was a bit more temperate. You could always let me know
your thoughts on the matter via email
